About us

African Emerging Markets Innovations (AEMI) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to collective private sector development to promote innovations and strengthen partnerships among private sector associations, organizations, companies, academia, leaders and institutions in African Emerging Markets. Through business networks, training and policy, AEMI provides a forum of sharing ideas, issues, best practices and innovations. AEMI promotes collaboration to address industry sector challenges, problems and opportunities so as to create a shared future in African emerging markets.

AEMI was founded by a group of concerned African business people and academicians as a non-government organization dedicated to providing and promoting meaningful network of African national private sector associations irrespective of international borders. With the African region emerging as a new and powerful region, the stakes for ensuring cooperation among African national business community need to be strengthened.

Since its founding AEMI has been committed to ensuring that business leaders and opinion leaders in both the public and private sectors have had the chance to meet their colleagues in other countries, and discuss issues of national and international relevance and importance.

Through its international and interdisciplinary conferences, research and publications, AEMI is the network hub for information exchange across Africa and beyond, connecting individuals, business communities, associations and institutions across the region.

Objectives

  1. We work with member private sector associations and federations to facilitate industry sector meetings where credible international professionals, stakeholders and business people build relationships with private sector stakeholders to improve their respective industry.
  • We provide strategic perspectives on private sector landscape and research preparation.
  • Through private sector partnerships, we provide independent perspectives and support to business development activities of organizations operating in these emerging markets of Africa.
